STEFANO RICCI 50TH ANNIVERSARY | LUXOR
In celebration of the brand’s 50th Anniversary, STEFANO RICCI hosted a fashion show at the Hatshepsut Temple in Luxor — the first-ever international fashion show to be staged in Egypt. The result was a triumph of pure Italian quality and style, with 400 international guests, 45 models and Maestro Andrea Bocelli, who opened and closed the show with his performances.
A tribute to the elegance of ancient Egypt and the contemporary luxury lifestyle the brand is known to represent. Elegant eveningwear, jacquard fabrics, hieroglyphic designs, gold and blue hues fit for a Pharaoh and the inspiration of safari desert decadence. Ninety total looks of rare elegance.
AN EVENING TO REMEMBER
Andrea Bocelli opened the show with “Celeste Aida” by Verdi and later performed a duet with his son, Matteo, of “Fall on Me”. Soprano Susanna Rigacci descended the monumental stairs of the temple’s runway while performing an aria by Ennio Morricone.
THE GRAND FINALE
The grand finale witnessed Mr. Stefano Ricci descending the Hatshepsut Temple stairs alongside his son Filippo, Creative Director, to a performance of Andrea Bocelli’s “Nessun Dorma”. The temple was lit up by an array of lights — a truly spectacular, unforgettable and majestic moment in fashion history, all in STEFANO RICCI style.
