El Fin del Mundo. That is how they call the boundless land stretching across the southern part of Patagonia, which, beyond the Strait of Magellan, becomes Tierra del Fuego. The last frontier of a primordial world, where the wind carves nature with ancestral fury and the Torres del Paine challenge the sky like sentinels of stone. It is within this theatre of untamed majesty that the eighth SR Explorer Mission unfolds: a journey in search of emotions and encounters with those who inhabit this land so vividly described by the great writers of the past. Here, the gauchos are the last guardians of an age-old tradition that defies time itself.
This adventure took us between the shadows of untouched forests and the icy waters of the Grey Glacier, with its vastness, all the way through National Parks and fjords. The aim of this mission was to follow the tracks of the puma, the sovereign, silent predator that embodies the strength of wildlife like a furtive spirit. Its relationship with the surrounding fauna, often unseen yet deeply felt, becomes an epic dance of power and survival, a tale of courage and destiny in lands where only the bravest have dared to challenge fate. Around them move flocks of sheep, horses, guanacos and Darwin’s rhea (a native Patagonian species of ostrich), under the watchful gaze of the condors. Along the canals live sea lions, elephant seals, and on an island at the heart of the sea route uniting two oceans, lies the realm of the Magellanic penguins. Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego are not merely places: they are living legends, epic realms of men who explored the ends of the earth, only to discover that this was, in truth, the beginning of a new world.
Steppes, glaciers, forests, mountains, lakes, rivers, waterfalls. The Eighth Wonder, the End of the World. In the depths of Chile, Patagonia, in that Tierra del Fuego of myth, solitude, and adventure filled only by Nature, unfolds the Stefano Ricci Explorer Fall/Winter 2026–27 Collection. A land of gauchos and pioneers of adventure, of fearless explorers then and passionate travellers now, within a landscape that rises vertically, where pumas reign and condors glide over the ice. A violent nature for its unspoiled beauty, one that inspired a collection poised between pure elegance and a sporting touch, for men who defy fear and embrace the colours of the Earth and the light of Antarctic dawns. A journey among the penguins of Isla Magdalena, whose sleek plumage inspired the perfect luxury of evening tuxedos, total black, with fabrics woven by the Antico Setificio Fiorentino, worn with superfine cotton or silk shirts featuring traditional pleated plastrons, and buttons of Swarovski crystal or precious stones.
