Udaipur
The final stop of the SR Explorer Mission Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, Udaipur is the City of Lakes, dominated by the majestic City Palace, whose façade stretches for over 244 metres. Since 1559, it has been the residence of the Maharaja and, with its eleven inner palaces, now serves as both a museum and a luxury hospitality destination. Built from granite and marble, its interiors, featuring balconies, towers, and domes, unfold in a succession of delicate mirror-work, frescoes and wall paintings, silver, inlays, and coloured glass.
