A new gesture of love for Florence
STEFANO RICCI has thus ensured the exhibition of precious folios from Milan, which are destined to embellish the Uffizi Gallery’s exhibition which, on October 29th, will open the worldwide celebration of the 5th centenary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death.
The 72 sheets of the codex will be on display at the “Magliabechiana Hall” of the Uffizi. Thanks to the Codescope, an innovative multimedia device, visitors will be able to browse individual sheets of the manuscript on digital screens, access transcriptions of the texts, and receive supplementary information on the codex themes. Lent by prestigious Italian and foreign institutions, a selection of exceptional original drawings by Leonardo will be displayed, originating from the same period as the codex, a truly prodigious season in the history of Florence.
